LAS Mission: We are committed to upholding representation, inclusion, and diversity in education so that all students learn, achieve, and succeed, one person at a time.
LAS Vision: To design programs of study, trainings, and other learning experiences, that engage students and faculty, provide support and foster wellbeing, creativity, and responsibility for themselves and the planet.
LAS meetings are scheduled in-person and via teleconference. Curriculum design and integrative, evidence-based support begins with Intake Coordination and the 3 C’s: Curriculum Design, Coaching, and Consulting.
LAS Coaches and Scholastic Managers support learners in health science education and general education. LAS Instructors are trained at LAS and teach organization skills and strategies that address inattention, distraction, reading challenges, and executive function difficulties.
MEET OUR FOUNDER
Loren is particularly interested in the field of interpersonal neurobiology. Her work focuses on the connection between emotions and learning and she has written papers and presented extensively on these topics. A recent paper, Reviving the Test-Stressed Brain, explores a research-based technique that addresses performance anxiety on high stakes exams.
